Barcelona vs Athletic Club: 5 - 0 Match Analysis, Fresh Update

Raphinha was the standout performer as Barcelona cruised into the Spanish Super Cup final with a dominant 5–0 win over Athletic Club in Saudi Arabia. After withstanding an early spell of pressure, Barça took full control of the semifinal and effectively ended the contest before halftime, scoring four goals in a devastating 16-minute stretch.


Ferran Torres opened the scoring, followed quickly by strikes from Fermín López and Roony Bardghji, before Raphinha added the fourth with a powerful finish. The Brazilian winger capped off an excellent display shortly after the restart, scoring his second goal to seal a comprehensive victory.

Athletic Bilbao had a few moments, including a shot that hit the post, but they were largely outclassed as Barcelona dictated the tempo and limited any real threat. Head coach Hansi Flick praised his team’s mentality and performance, noting a sharp improvement from their previous outing.
